Amidst the worsening situation in the low-lying areas, the NDRF has taken charge. More than 16 and a half thousand people have been shifted. The water level is likely to reach 208.30 by 8 am on Thursday.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that people should vacate their homes in areas near Yamuna in Usmanpur, Badarpur Khadar, the lower areas of Delhi.

Apart from this, the slums situated near DND, Mayur Vihar, Main Pushta Road in Jagatpur, Bhelopur on Sarai Kale Khan, Shamshan Ghat, Jain Mandir, Gyaspur and Millennium Depot have been asked to vacate.
