Prajwal Revanna the sitting Member of Parliament (MP) for the Hassan district in Karnataka, has filed a complaint alleging that certain lewd, altered recordings of the MP are doing the rounds on the internet.
Poornachandra Tejaswi MG, the JD(S) and BJP’s election agent, filed the case on Tuesday.
Tejaswi claimed in the lawsuit that the tapes had been circulated by Naveen Gowda and others. “To cast Prajwal Revanna in a negative light, Naveen Gowda and associates altered films and photographs and distributed them to voters in the Hassan Lok Sabha seat via pen drives, CDs, and WhatsApp. According to the FIR, “They are requesting that people not vote for him.”

Revanna is the son of Holenarasipura MLA and former minister H D Revanna, and the grandson of former prime minister H D Devegowda. Prajwal Revanna is running for a second term as a Congressman against Shreyas M Patel, who is G Puttaswamy Gowda’s grandson.
On a Congress ticket, Puttaswamy Gowda had beaten Devegowda in the 1999 Lok Sabha elections.
