Who is Britney Vernon? A Randolph County Teacher Was Arrested for Supposed Sexual Activities with a Student #24
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said that Britney Vernon a 39-year-old teacher, was taken into custody on Wednesday July 24, in response to alleged sexual assault.
On July 1, a report regarding these claims was given to the deputies. Following an investigation, detectives decided to prosecute Britney Marie Vernon, and the magistrate determined there was sufficient evidence to issue a warrant.
On August 20, 2018, Vernon, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at Randleman High School, began working for the Randolph County School System.
On August 21, 2023, she started working at Randleman High School.
She is facing serious allegations, which include three counts of felony sex acts with a pupil and three counts of felony indecent liberties with a student. Vernon is being held on an unsecured bond of $75,000 subsequent to her arrest.
August 12 is her first scheduled court date. Vernon has been placed on paid leave from Randleman High School following the allegations.
