Indian fitness blogger Ankit Baiyanpuria rose to fame by endorsing conventional Indian training methods. He undertook the 75 Hard Challenge in 2023.
He started his career as a social media influencer after graduating from college.
On his YouTube account, “Haryanvi Khagar,” he first began posting comedic videos in Haryanvi. However, following the COVID-19 lockout, he began renaming his channel as “Ankit Baiyanpuria” and turned his attention to exercise, nutrition, and fitness. In addition to traditional wrestling, he works out with rope climbing, running, and sapate. Krishan Pahalwan, his local coach (guru), provided him with instruction.
Ankit said that the reason for his surname, “Baiyanpuria,” is linked to the Dangal or wrestling customs during an interview with Muscle Blaze. Because a person who enters the wrestling society is no longer a part of the caste or paati and is instead independent of customs, caste, or religion, players take on the name of their village. His name is only ‘Pahlwan’.

Ankit Baiyanpuria had many injuries while competing in wrestling competitions. He had a lower back injury in 2018 during a wrestling contest in Himachal Pradesh, which left him bedridden for many months. Following his recovery from that injury, he participated in a university competition and took home a silver medal; however, he had another knee injury during the event, necessitating further bed rest. He suffered another shoulder injury in April 2022, which left him bedridden for three months. He gained weight throughout this period, going from 86 kg to 95 kg. During the process of reducing weight, he learned about 75 difficult obstacles.
Ankit Baiyanpuria completed the 75 Hard Challenge on June 28, 2023. Andy Frisella, an American author and entrepreneur, developed the mental fitness and self-improvement program in 2020. Five daily tasks make up the plan: you take a selfie of your progress every day, you maintain a regular diet, you avoid alcohol and fast food, you drink four liters of water, you read ten pages of a non-fiction book (usually self-help or educational), and you exercise twice a day for forty-five minutes each, one of which has to be done outside in all weather conditions. In his training videos, he frequently discusses Hindu texts like the Shiva Purana and the Bhagavad Gita. He claimed that doing this makes him feel at ease and that he wants his audience to feel the same way.
Ankit stated that he did not begin reading the Bhagavad Gita until a friend gave it to him. He feels that the Gita might be recited to ease challenging circumstances. He said in an interview that he learned a great deal by reading the Gita.
He is a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, and he makes reference to the Lord in each of his videos. When he reached 10,000 followers on social media, he declared that he would visit Lord Shiva in Rishikesh if he ever attained 10,000 followers or more. Upon gaining over 10,000 followers, he made many trips to Rishikesh to see Lord Shiva. Ankit attributes his quick rise in followers on social media to reading Hindu scriptures and worshiping Lord Shiva.

He works out in a variety of ways outside of the gym to build up his stamina. During his workout, he may also be seen lifting wood, cylinders, and tires. In addition, he runs five kilometers a day.
Ankit’s YouTube account features many footage of him lifting large weights at the gym. He has lifted up to 240 kg of weight at this point. He can bench press 200 kg and lift 220 kg with ease.

Ankit eats two to four figs, ten to fifteen makhana lava, ten to twelve cashews, and four walnuts for breakfast. He soaks all these items before going to bed, and then he rubs them and has breakfast in the morning. He also consumes apples, bananas, and dry fruits. It’s only after this that he begins exercising.
Ankit drinks Badam Ragda, a beverage made with particular varieties of almonds called Sonagiri and Gurbandi Giri, after working out. In addition, it has rose petals, black pepper, fennel, watermelon seeds, and poppy seeds. Normally, he would sweeten it, but for the 75 Hard Challenge, he drank it straight.
He tries to include kachri chutney in every meal since he likes chutney. In addition, he garnishes his meals with a little cup of desi ghee.

Ankit stated in an interview that while he was very interested in studies in the beginning of his studies, his father would frequently take him to wrestling matches (Dangal). In 2008, he began attending the wrestling arena while he was in ninth grade, motivated by a wrestler from his village named Krishna who had won a medal in Junior Asia.

Ankit received the Hindi translation of his favorite book, “The Autobiography of a Yogi,” from renowned podcaster and social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, The Ranveer Show. After reading the book, Ranveer’s greatest inspiration, Virat Kohli, said that it had altered his life. Since then, Ranveer has kept the book in his personal library and has said that he would only gift it to a close friend or relative.
He occasionally indulges in his favorite sweet dish, kheer or curma, which is also a terrific source of healthy fats and packed full of vitamins in the form of dried fruits, ghee, and milk.
Ankit worked as a rice bag lifter and confectioner at a nearby plant due to an injury he sustained during wrestling training. He then started working as a delivery guy at Zomato. Later, he began earning Rs 9000 a month working at a supplement store. He left his position in August 2023.
